You can’t have it all …

At some point in your life you have probably heard time and time again that you can have it all – the career, the family, the loving relationship, etc. Well, that really isn’t true. Why do I say this? I say this as you can’t have an abundant mindset and live as if you have no money – constantly saying “NO” to small pleasures that would bring you joy. You can’t expect to have a loving relationship when you are not in love with yourself – expecting others to love you when you can’t even look in the mirror and say “I love you” and believe it. You can’t have that “career” when you don’t have the belief that you are worthy to have it – expecting to “always” be overlooked for that next position.
Hate to burst your bubble …
The reality is that if there is something you want in your life, you have to start with YOU! Starting with who you are from the inside out will begin to help you to grow … to begin the process of transformation. Working on your self is hard work and is something that most people shy away from. Most people choose to stay stuck feeling as if there has to be more to life than what they have. Is this you? Would you like to get out of this “stuckness”?
You are not alone …
I was there, just like you.  I was working in the corporate, having the support of a corporate structure and work was my purpose!  My life was my career.  I was living from the thought of I could have it ALL. At one time, I had a position with international responsibility – which basically meant that I was working 24 – 7.  Some of you may have been there.  Yes, I was making that 6 figure income, traveling to Madrid, Milan, Singapore, Tokyo, London, Shanghai … you name it – I have been there.  You would think that I had it all!  I did – except for a LIFE.  I was miserable in my work. I couldn’t figure out how to have a life (intimate relationship, friends, family, etc.) and still be able to do my JOB. I was allowing my business to define my life!
What do you do …
You make an investment in yourself to change! Choosing to be “first” in your life is the most important step you can take toward defining who you are from the inside out.
Here’s the tough part: all of the things that are a part of your life now are so familiar. The “what you know” in anything is a comfortable place to be—even in its discomfort. It is what you know and know well. That is why you stay there even when it is painful. You suffer in your comfort.
Take the journey to change …
Step 1: Identify what your life would look like if there was nothing holding you back.  Write it out, very specifically, what you would love for your life to be – in your career, in your relationships, in your finances – if there were no constraints. Writing it out is the first step and begins to create awareness and clarity for you.
Begin here … next week the next step will be revealed.
